My Tour of Lucas Oil Stadium Grand Opening

So the other day (Saturday) i went out with my brother and my dad to check out the Colts new home, Lucas Oil Stadium. first time i had been to the city in quite a while but what a great experience to check it out before any games got under way. while we weren't the only ones there, some 100,000 people came to check out the new stadium. one thing that surprised me was the lack of fans who were wearing colts jerseys. i mean, i wasn't wearing one (heh....) but i was almost expecting to see almost everyone to be wearing one.....glad that i wasn't alone =D. anyways heres the pictures i took, i took around 43 but my camera started f***ing up the last 20 minutes we were there so there are parts of the stadium that we passed through that are missing =/. Also don't mind the time stamp on the bottom, my camera is messed up.....

^the first picture i took when we were reaching the stadium, to my surprise i knew allot of people would be there but man, kinda surprised me a bit how

^finally we were allowed to enter after 30 minutes or so of waiting in a crowded area. i would have taken a picture to give you guys an idea but i really didn't feel like moving around.....
^Got a bit of a rush when we got in....

^this was a small, horse shoe area near the enterance where some musicians where playing music for the incoming guests. i think the song they were playing was one of Earth, Wind & Fire's hits
^wasn't really sure what this was so i decided to take a picture of it anyway, looked like some sort of old fashion gas pump...
^first look at the field, looks pretty nice...
^wanted to get a quick pick of one of the concession stands
^going up the escalator.....
^still going

^one more escalator to one of the top floors, good view out side at the many hundreds of people who are still waiting to come it.....
^a good view of the city from one of the top floors...
^a quick shot of one of the big screens....yeah, sorry about someones head getting in the way.....
^a top down view of the field.....one of my favorite shots
^looking up towards the retractable roof and the hanging banners...
^somewhere between 61,000 people are supposed to be seated in this stadium, quite allot....
^i had to take a picture of this just to show you how rediuculous these prices are....$3.50 for a bottle of watter...really?
^a huge banner we saw on our way down
^a view from above of the main floor below and the gathering crowd
^a quick pic of one of the escalator's we went down on
^going down on the final escalator to the main floor, man it looks packed
^almost there......

^one of the sales area's where you could buy some colts merchandise
^a look up at the giant metal fans that were cooling the entire area down
^the wall to the left was the entrance to the colts bank
^another view of some of the items you could buy at one of the stands
^another picture of some of the ridiculous prices at the stadium....i was pretty surprised anyone was actually buying stuff there....click on the picture to get a closer look
^going down to another one of the lobbies
^one of the areas we saw earlier in our tour, only this one was some what smaller....

^not sure who this dude was but he does look pretty excited
^a quick picture of a giant blow up colts player hanging from the ceiling...lets see if i can get a closer look
^here we go.....i wonder who wheres the jersey 00
^a look at the field and the giant screen from the stands. from this area you would be surprised to see how small the field looks from here
^a look up to one of the stands
^one of the other giant screens hanging above our exit.....
^on our way out to leave

^a view of the exit tunnel
^one last look at the stadium before we left.....

Wow big gigantic stadium! Really cool. And with the colors of my own soccer team: blue.

Just didn't get how many ppl can the stadium handle. 100.000 or 61.000?

Great pics.
