So is this Really the Last Last Week in Review?
Im afraid so.....for a while at least. i've been wanting to get back to something i did before i started making blogs which was video editing. i've got a ton of new ideas i would love to try out and see what they look like when completed.I've enjoyed all the recognition from making these blogs and i look forward to hopefully making more in the future when i have more time and less things to worry about. So, this wont be the last time you'll see a LWIR from me =p
The Dirty Truth about Gamestop
I always had a feeling Gamestop was ripping people off, i remember regretting to this day when i sold 5 - 7 games to them for just 30 bucks. i walked out of the store feeling like a complete idiot, and for what.....a measly 30 bucks barely enough to buy anything. the worst feeling was that i sold some of my all time favorite games to them i that really would have enjoyed playing now. (Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner, War of the Monsters, Tribes Ariel Assault and more)After watching these videos they opened my eyes in a some what shocking but not surprised way that left me wondering....Why don't more people know about this. if everyone knew this, it would make GS loose a considerable amount of money as well as the customers they have for so long been accustomed to. from there maybe they could go back to their old EB Games ways, though im not holding my breath for that to happen.
Although i still might stop by gamestop every now and then (once a month or less) to check out some of the used games they might carry it has defiantly made me take a step back from considering them as a legit place to buy or sell your stuff at. the overall message from these movies are that there are better places to spend your money at and spend it well without getting ripped off.

Surely Cloud Strife Has To Be In Dissidia?

To see the full page, visit below.....
Cloud Strife Action Figure Cloud Strife is nothing short of a sensation in Japan. Recently, he came 2nd in a “Who is your favourite video game character” survey, beating beaten only by the Italian plumber Mario. If Cloud is included in Dissidia, it will surely boost sales astronomically compared to if he isn’t and Square Enix are sure to know this. So, why hasn’t he been announced yet?
Wow....i was pretty impressed by this when i first saw it. the trailer just sucks you in and makes you want to learn more, kind of like lost. JJ Abrams is the main guy behind creating this series and so far, sooo good.
If you haven't gotten a chance to check out the show you really should! its kind of confusing to explain but it basically deals with a group of agents (something like the CIA, i forget their name atm....) who are getting reports of supernatural/biological occurrences happening from people. for example the first episode had them chasing after a biological terrorist who happened to take down a plane (9/11 style, only much more weirder) and almost kills the main characters partner/love interest, but once they finally get the guy.....well, you'll just have to see Ep.1. So far like i said the show is starting off great, they have an interesting cast of characters who tend to do most of their outrageous experiments in one of the most well known colleges in America....right now im looking forward to seeing more and if you would like to check it out, check out their website below
Another Great show on Fox that kept me glued to the TV screen for hours. after seeing the first season come to an abrupt end it was pretty cool to see Season 2 jump off where it last left at and hit the ground running.....literally. i cant wait to watch more of season 2 and see what else happens, especially the new main chick who happens to be a terminator herself...that cant be good.....

I Cant Wait for this to finally return, it felt very weird not seeing it last spring due to the writers strike still happening but now that its back i cant wait to start watching what they will have in store for us. To be honest, heroes might be the only show where i get outrageously excited when something good, bad, or interesting happens. im not sure why that is but i really cant wait to see who turns out to be good and what happens to all the bad guys.....
The other day i when i was watching G4 i noticed something i hadn't in quite a while....they only have 2 legit gaming shows (3 if you count AOTS as gaming) WTF happened to all the great shows that were originally on G4 and Tech TV before they merged?? i mean, Cinematic, Eye Drops, Anime Unleashed, Screen Savers, Arena, G4tv.com, Electric Playground and im sure there was more.....but seriously What The Fuck happened to all those shows, some weren't all that great but these shows defined G4 as an actually gaming network devoted towards gamers....now a days they only have crappy re-runs of shows like cops, cheaters....seriously.....
Its kind of cool how there adding shows like Lost with additional content to the network but i think they are stretching to far from their original roots as an all gaming network. the only shows that i can really give a full exception to are Unbeatable Banzuke, Ninja Warrior, and Arrested Development.....I really don't know whats going to happen to G4 in the upcoming years...it seems like they are becoming straight up sellouts rather than focusing what attracted them attention in the first place....gamesI Just saw this movie sometime last week and after seeing it i decided to pick up a copy of my own because i thought it was pretty great. its essentially another zombie apocalypse movie only this time it takes place in London. it has its pop up scare moments plus a large amount of blood, which makes even better =p. i would have to say that one of my favorite things about this movie other than the soundtrack would be the atmosphere. it really feels like there isn't anyone else in London and where ever you go zombies will be there eventually. i found it kind of interesting how fast they turned into zombies, in one of the other zombie movies i own (Dawn of the Dead) it took one of them 10 seconds or longer but in this one they talk about how if ANY blood gets into an open wound or an open part of your body (like your mouth) you've got anywhere from 10 - 20 seconds before you just turn into one without falling down and acting dead. later on in the movie when a person gets infected it took almost about 7 seconds for them to turn into one....
2 of my favorite parts in the movie (if you have seen it) takes place at the end.
the first being after Jim escapes from just nearly being killed and gets his revenge. the other being just at the end when you see them at the house gathering the curtains and laying them over the grass to alert an oncoming jet that they were survivors....to me it just seem liked it ended well after all that had happened
the first time i saw it i checked out the entire movie online at Hulu. check it out here if you haven't seen it yet.

After Hearing all the hype about this movie for months as well as seeing a really intriguing trailer i decided to check this movie out as well and Man, it was that awesome....Its based in a future not long from now in a world where its not really worth living in anymore.....unless your rich? The Whole plot of the movie is about one man being asked to help take the only women in the entire world who is fertile to the Human Project, a mysterious group of scientists dedicated to curing infertility. along the way they run into unimaginable obstacles that would have many of us wondering if we could have even made it that far as well as many helpful sub characters who assist them on there journey
My favorite part about the movie is the whole entire message they are trying to send to us. if its based on your opinion and how you procieve things, the message i got from this movie was that life is precious and you never know how crazy things will turn out to be when the human race is coming to an imminent end.One thing i would have to warn action movie go-ers is that this isn't your typical action movie, while there are explosions, guns and violence, its not happening 50% of the time. the ratio between action sequences and moments where they slow down the story to explain whats going on is about.....35% - 65%. what this means is that there are some awesome action sequences with allot of running but YOU CAN NOT go into this movie thinking its all about action and fighting, you'll come out thinking it was more boring than fun.
That being said my favorite part of the movie was
Once Again, at the end around the time where theo (main character) and kee (the woman with the child) wake up the next day after she finally had her child. from there they are rushed out of the area by, at the time a person they thought they could trust. after theo takes care of their guide they find another person willing to help them out and from their its like a straight on roller coaster. the camera does a great job of capturing what it would be like running through the city when you have the Government or Army at the time and the Fishes a.k.a the bad guys chasing after you. plenty of death and explosions happen through this point of time, plus a very touching moment when Theo assists Kee and her child from the building while many passerby's just stare in an awe like state.
So in the end its a great movie and i highly recommend to any one to check it out....

OMFG this game looks great! not just the graphics but the look and feel of the game. it gives you the impression that we already know but we should realize even more, War is a hell of a situation to be in. though i have never played a single BIA game (looking into getting BIA: Road to Hill 30) this looks amazing. i love how you can command your team mates and make sure you realize every move you make counts because if you do something wrong you'll lose your team mate, for the rest of the game (kind of like Fire Emblem i presume) anyways, im looking forward to picking this up when its available sometime this week

The more i see of this game, the better it looks. not only does it have the factor of scaring the crap out of you but it takes place in an area where rarely ever visit, space. one thing that truly interests me is how strategic dismemberment will come in on later foes in the game. the one thing they should have added in this game is co-op story mode, that would have made the game that much more exciting....

after i first picked up the game for psp i was hooked. even though this takes place on its biggest brother, its still the same old wipeout with some amazing graphics that will truly impress you and your friends when your playing it on your HD online with 7 others! keep a look out for this later this month.

For this final week i decided to grab the two things i enjoyed watching the most over the past few days. AVGN & the upcoming brother's in arms Hell's Highway Trailer.....enjoy
After hearing reports on the internet a few weeks ago about how iTunes newest app. Genius would revolutionize and make it even simpler to find artists that are similar to some of your favorite artists by searching through millions of others playlists as well as their online database of music i decided to give it a try and i thought it was a nice addition to the already great (IMO) program. but a week after i was getting used to it i found out that Microsoft had made a similar feature in their newest version Zune's Software. i waited anxiously to try it out for my self and here's what i found.Click on the pictures to get a closer view of what i saw
This was taken right after i opened the program, once i downloaded the program it found all the music files on my computer and gathered them up here and added album covers automatically. (some i had to add myself but most of them where already there)
As you might be able to see, the music is on the right side of the screen with the artist's albums in the middle. from here i went down to MixView
From there a bunch of pictures slowly popped up. each had the name of the artist as well as the association with the main artist that was in the middle of the screen. i chose on one of the artists to the right to see what they sounded like
once it finished loading here was what their main screen looked like. similar to the last only with different artists that were associated with these guys instead of the last. From here you can double click on the main picture to see more of their work or click play to hear a few of their tracks in a random orderThe Pro's
- wide amount of music listed here, im willing to bet not even iTunes has some of the tracks from popular artists on there
- A really clean Interface with an interesting feel
- Nice Sound Quality
- It really finds artists that are similar to the bands your interested in. if you liked iTunes Genius feature then you'll really enjoy this
- Its Free. in order to download the program you don't need a zune or make an account on the site in order to download it.
The Con's
- Can be a little slow depending on your connection speed
- You have to sign up for an account (or at least that's what im aware of) in order to try out the service in the program
- Still a few glitches here and there, i remember clicking on a song by an artist who was supposed to be Alternative but i heard Rap music....?
So as a final thought, i would consider this to be some what a step above iTunes Genius app. if you have the time and space to try it out, do it because you'll never know who you'll find on there. i found a few artists i remember hearing years ago but i never knew their names at the time.
As an Added Bonus Look What i Found!
Some time last week i was watching TV and i ran across a commercial that was advertising a new cookie brand or something. from there it mentioned how if you visited the site you could sign up to receive a free cookie so i decided to give it a try......ill let you guys know what i though of the cookie when ever i get it. Oh, and if you would like to get your own free cookie check out the site from the link below. act fast because like they always say, supplies are limited.
I Just recently found out about this group and man was it a change of pace when it came to the electronic music i listen to, these guys are amazing. Hold your colour (the ablum below) is probably one of the only few cds i have where i can listen to it from begin to end without wanting to skip any song in between. if you haven't heard of these guys you really should check them out, especially if you into electronic music. im not exactly sure which song is my favorite atm from them but i really like Granite (on one of their more recent cd's) and sound of life
Blue States

Remember earlier when i said 28 days later had a great soundtrack, well one of my favorite songs off the entire piece was the ending song called Season Song. after checking out some of their other works i found another song that has a great beat that will keep you going when your relaxing or even working out. check out the song from 28 days later by clicking the image below

Bloc Party's New CD is OUT! (lol) if you know me pretty well, you probably know by what i think about these dudes. Their New album Intimacy just came out a few weeks ago over the net and so far (IMO) its great but it still doesn't top Silent Alarm. Intimacy by far would have to be my 3rd favorite cd from them and the songs i have been listening to almost non stop are Ares and Better than heaven, Great stuff especially if you like tons of guitar cords stung =p click the image below to check out one of the songs off their new cd.
All Found Over the past week or so on digg =p

So that's it.....
I hope you enjoyed this extended look of my last LWIR, hopefully more will come in the futureOh...and one more thing......
(lol, couldn't think of a better slogan =D)
